Jerry’s Map is a monumental four-story installation located inside the new Consolidated Rental Car Facility at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport. Created by internationally recognized artist Jerry Gretzinger, the work introduces travelers to a vibrant, evolving world of color, pattern, and imagined geography as they enter the facility.
The installation features 2,441 individual panels, each measuring 8 × 10 inches, assembled into a large-scale composition that spans the full height of the CONRAC customer service building. The panels are printed on aluminum composite and reproduce a significant stage of Gretzinger’s long-running artwork, combining hand-painted and hand-drawn elements created with acrylic paint, markers, colored pencil, ink, and digital processes.

As part of the Concourse A expansion at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport, a series of permanent artworks was integrated into the architecture to enhance the passenger experience and create a strong sense of place. The collection includes terrazzo floor designs, murals, and a suspended sculptural installation located throughout the concourse.
Inspired by the landscapes and natural features of West Michigan, the artworks use color, pattern, and movement to create moments of visual interest as travelers move through the space. Together, the installations transform the concourse into a dynamic environment that reflects the creativity and character of the region.
